Lymphatic Therapy

Patients aged 16 and older are welcome to visit the lymphatic therapist at Medita Clinics Tallinn center:

  • those with primary (congenital lymphatic system disorder) or secondary (trauma, surgery, venous insufficiency, etc.) lymphedema;
  • those who have developed lymphedema after cancer treatment, such as after lymph node removal or radiation therapy;
  • those with chronic swelling that does not subside on its own and causes discomfort or limited mobility;
  • those who need supportive therapy for recovery or post-operative swelling, such as after orthopedic surgery or trauma.

During the initial visit, the lymphatic therapist assesses the patient's health condition and creates an individual treatment plan, which may include lymphatic massage, compression therapy (bandaging and/or compression garments), and movement therapy, along with counseling and, if necessary, skin care.

The most important part of lymphatic therapy is bandaging, which provides up to 80% of the treatment results and is essential for relieving chronic lymphedema.

At Medita Clinic, lymphatic therapy is performed by physio- and lymphatic therapist Marit-Jenna Seppar, who graduated with a bachelor's degree in physiotherapy from Tartu Health Care College in 2023 and obtained a master's degree in physiotherapy from the University of Tartu in 2025. Additionally, she has trained as a lymphatic therapist under trainer and therapist Raili Raik and continuously improves her skills through professional training.

The initial consultation with the lymphatic therapist, including the development of a treatment plan, at Medita Clinics Tallinn center costs €60.

Appointments with lymphatic therapist Marit-Jenna Seppar can be booked at www.terviseportaal.ee, via www.veebiregistratuur.ee, or by calling Medita Clinics information line at 17101.
